Opanka Construction is an old European way of making footwear. It is all handsewn. Bølo shoes are made by attaching the upper, the sole and the sock lining at one time with double needle stitching. This creates the flexibility of an unconstructed moccasin. The sole is made of polyurethane making a flexible shoe more stable and shock resistant. Within the sole is a concave area at the ball of the footbed. This area is covered with E.V.A. Foam to create a trampoline like effect.
